Where: Dubai Fountain Promenade
When: Daily from 5 pm to 11 pm
Viewers can now get closer to the Dubai Fountain than ever before, thanks to a newly constructed 272m-long floating boardwalk in the lake at the base of Burj Khalifa.
One of Dubai’s most popular attractions, The Dubai Fountain is choreographed to music ranging from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” to Arab dance tracks and songs from Bollywood films. Due to the popularity of the fountain show, viewers usually crowd the balustrades around the perimeter of the lake. On the floating walkway, the absence of balustrades – coupled with the rhythmic ebb and flow of the boardwalk - give viewers a more intimate experience of the attraction. The floating platforms get viewers as close as 9m to the fountains.
The boardwalk is open daily from 5 pm to 11 pm (prime time for a sunset visit) and costs just AED 20.
